Charlie Sighting Today At Katies!!!
Charlie the Ghost was seen at Katies today!!!
Katies webmaster Jimmy Goose was leaving Katies after meeting with Brian about changes to the site. Jimmy got in his car and in his rear view mirror was a reflection of a man sitting in the back seat of his car in a suit , then he disappeared.
This is not the first time this has happened, but its a first for Jimmy who had chills after the experience. Other patrons of Katies have reported simular experiences and sometimes it seems charlie brings friends with him, It looks like they like car rides and I wonder if they have ever jump on the back of my bike, now that would be very cool!!!
Video taped Jan 23rd 2010 at 1:51am, the soda gun, with no ones help, jumps up and out of its holster turns sideways, then drops to the floor. was the ghost of charlie trying to make a drink? you decide….. watch carefully at 1:26 on the video players counter.

We at Katies of Smithtown are holding a event marking the 100 year old fire that destroyed the Trainor Hotel which once stood on the spot that Katies now stands.
We are asking for the for help in attaining any Photos or information on the Trainor Hotel, we know through old newspapers that it burned down on Dec 5th 1909 , but we know little else. Maybe some of your readers have something useful to help us in our search.
Many people think that possible un-timely deaths from the fire may have something to do with much of the paranormal activity in Katies bar. Joining us for this event will be A&E`s celebrity Psychic Chip Coffey, Also many of Long Islands Paranormal groups and experts will be attending this event as well. The paranormal activity has been very active over the past few months, We have even captured on video flying or tossed glasses from the racks, which is something that the bar is famous for , I would be happy to show you these videos.
We have found with the help of the Smithtown Library and the Smithtowns Clerks Office a copy of Charlie Kliens death certificate and the old newspaper story about how and why he killed himself. It was amazing to see that the documents backed up the local legend and stories about Katies favorite ghost Charlie.
I hope that you find these stories and legends as interesting as the staff , customers and fans of Katies worldwide. After some bumpy roads for Katies its seems that the bar has finally come into its own,
Maybe with the help of some spirits that seem to enjoy the attention

100th Anniversary Of The Trainor Hotel Fire With Chip Coffey
Join us during the weekend of Dec 4th for the party of the century at Katies of Smithtown!!! Katies will be honoring the tragic fire that consumed the Trainor Hotel which once stood for many years on the site that is now Katies Of Smithtown. Many people believe that some of the darker spirits looming around Katies may have met their un-timely deaths during this fire 100 years ago.
A&E’s Celebrity Psychic and Medium Chip Coffey joins us in the festivities & may even communicate with our “previous patrons” and spirits.Chip will be Guest bartending on Friday night, and on Saturday he will be doing gallery readings, and then Chip will return to Katies Saturday night to party with Katies guests and spirits.
To attend Chips gallery reading you will need to puchase tickets from Chips site, you can follow the link from Katies site www.katiesofsmithtown.com And only a limited amount of tickets will be sold for this event , a second show will be added if the first show sells out.Other paranormal celebrities and experts will be at the event as well.
A second show may be added, if tickets sell out quickly. Chip will be available for autographs, T-shirts and photos after the gallery reading to ticketholders.

I just got off the phone with Chip Coffey of Paranormal State and Psychic Kids TV shows on A&E, and we are in the final planning stages of having him at the 100 year anniversary party of the buring down of the Traynor Hotel which was built on the same location of Katies of Smithtown and burned to the ground on Dec 5 1909. Many people think that the darker spirit or spirits in the lower level of Katies has something to do with the fire. Here is what Chip and I have worked out so far, Chip will be guest bartending on Friday Dec 4th. Greta, Chips booking agent came up with this great idea and I think its going to be alot of fun for everyone that is in the room it is going to be a blast and something you dont want to miss!!!
On Saturday Dec 5th Chip will be doing a Gallery reading to 50 ticket holders from 2-4pm Tickets will go on sale soon for this event.
Then later on its time for the huge Paranormal Party!!! We will have both floors open and some really cool Paranormal experts and guests attending this once in 100 year event!!! also Chip Coffey hanging out and maybe even getting back behind the bar once again!!!
Karaoke and Psychic Readings Every Thursday
Every Thursday night at Katies we will feature Karaoke on the main level on the Katies famous stage and on the same night on the lower level , we will be featuring Psychic readings. The Psychic readers at Katies are top notch in their field and we feature Psychic Karin who has helped get Katies into the national spotlight and helped with getting Katies on Paranormal State.
This night is becoming very popular and we will be adding extra Psychics as need be in the up coming weeks.
Karaoke at Katies has been getting bigger and better in the last few months, Katies features a state of the art built in sound system and lighting show that is un-matched with other mobile Karaoke nights. We have a professional sound man that keeps the levels balanced and correct.
So come on down and get your cards did and show off your pipes!!!

But these are great people to work with and they put on awesome events across the country. Stay tuned for the lineup it should be very exciting!!!
I recieved a text from Ryan Buell saying that it looks like the cast of Paranormal State will be returning in the Spring of 2010, In what capacity I am still not sure of, if its is a field trip or a filming, But Ryan told me he will have more info for me in the fall of this year.
Psychic Karin will be back doing readings at Katies on a regular basis, Karin is one of the people that helped put Katies on the map and was instumental in getting us on TV.
We are very happy to have her back!
We are planning a huge Paranormal party for the 100 year aniversary party for the Hotel Fire that happened at the Trynor Hotel which once stood on the same plot of land the Katies is on. The hotel burned down at midnight Dec 5th 1909 We are doing a ton of research as to who may have passed away in the fire and if one of the darker spirits in the lower level of Katies could be from that fatefull fire. It should be a really active Paranormal party!!! Look for some great Paranormal big shots to attend!!!
